20th anniversary of e-office

Today 16 augustus 20 years ago Roland Hameeteman and Rutger Stekelenburg decided to follow there dream and founded e-office. They get in touch with Lotus and heared about Lotus Notes 2.0. They were impressed, so e-office became the first Lotus Business partner in the Netherlands.
In the beginning it was hard to convicing customers to use Lotus Notes. It was so not like the other office software, you was able to collaborate with others across the country.
After 1995 the business discovered the potention of Lotus Notes and it became more and more implenteted in the daily business.
e-office was able to build some nice Lotus Notes applications over the years, last month I got a look at a application who was build by e-office in 1998 and still in use. Now on a Domino 8.5.2 server.
Despite the shift of market share in the collaboration market, e-office still believe in the future of Lotus Notes. And will in the future be part of the IBM community.
I am working already 11 years at e-office, and I am still very happy to be part of e-office.
I also believe in the future of Lotus Notes, especially the XPages tooling and the Domino server.
They have some powerfull features, who are still not reproduced by some other vendors.
