Opening the files tab in the administrator client often takes very long. The delay is among others caused by the scanning of all files in and sub-directories under the Domino directory. In Domino 8.5 you can add ADMIN_CLIENT_SKIP_DOMINO=1 to the servers notes.ini. This will, as the parameter already tells you, skip the Domino directory and all sub-directories when enumerating the files. See this article Lotus Notes and Domino Wiki for more info.
