Het is weer eens tijd voor de IBM kwartaalcijfers, deze keer natuurlijk over het laatste kwartaal van 2006. De cijfers zijn best indrukwekkend:
| "Revenues from the Software segment were $5.6 billion, an increase of 14 percent (11 percent, adjusting for currency) compared with the fourth quarter of 2005. Revenues from IBM's middleware brands, which include WebSphere, [...], Lotus and Rational products, were $4.4 billion, up 18 percent versus the fourth quarter of 2005. [...]
For the WebSphere family of software products, which facilitate customers' ability to manage a wide variety of business processes using open standards to interconnect applications, data and operating systems, revenues increased 22 percent. [...] and revenues for Lotus software, which allows collaborating and messaging by customers in real-time communication and knowledge management, increased 30 percent year over year. [...]" |
Fantastische rapportcijfers voor IBM Lotus: een groei van 30% in 'revenues' ten opzichte van het vierde kwartaal van 2005. Prachtig! IBM Lotus is, zo te zien, ook de grootste groeier in IBM Software-land. Reden voor een feestje in Orlando, volgende week..
